Do you have a positive mindset? Are you suffering from a negative mindset that makes you unhappy? Success and happiness are all about mindset. Your beliefs, thoughts and mindset affect everything in your life and control how you act and react to the world around you. To reach your greatest potential you have to build a positive mindset. You should train your mindset every day for happiness and success in life.
Do you know your self-talk, the conversation you have with yourself has a profound effect on your life success?
Your mindset needs to match your aspirations to achieve success in your goals. If you have a negative mindset that might hold you back from getting where you want to be. Let’s find out how you can improve your mindset?
Why train your mindset?
Are you aware that your Mindsettings control how you process information? You should fill your mind with positive thoughts and stop dwelling on negative thoughts because your thoughts control your attitudes and actions. Your thoughts are the input that will shift your beliefs and emotions and result in the output of how you feel, your attitudes and your actions. A positive attitude and optimism will help you success and happiness in life. Real life will make you repeat this process to create mindful habits and behaviour that will determine what you achieve. You will be Empowered by learning how to reprogram this process.
“The key to success is not simply effort or focus or resilience but it is the growth mindset that creates them.
Research shows that when we directly try to build grit or persistence it is not nearly as effective as addressing the mindset that underlies them.
If we’re to fulfil our potential we have to start thinking differently we have to realise that we’re not chained to our current capabilities.
Neuroscience shows that the brain is very malleable and we can change our own ability to think and to perform.”
5 Ways to train your mindset
- Recognise that you are not positive
- Do incantations
- Take control of your attention
- See challenges as opportunities
- Work to see the upside
1. Recognise that you are not positive – Drew Canole
“Number one is to recognize when you’re not being positive and recognize what’s happening on a vibrational level. Get out of the negative zone as quick as possible something negative happens to brush it off recognize you’re not the experience you’re not the emotion from it and move away from it as soon as possible.“
2. Do incantation – Tony Robbins
“If you don’t change your physiology you won’t get anything. So an incantation is you only. You speak it but you embody what you’re saying with all the intensity you can. And you do it with enough repetitions that it sticks in your head like it’s a small world. Now the conversation in your head is always the same it gives you what you want. So use your body and your voice.”
3. Take control of your attention – Brendon Burchard
Some people have often negative recurring thoughts and feelings in their life. The reason those keep coming up all the time is that they have at some point in their life or continually are giving those thoughts the negative ones more attention than necessarily any other thoughts.
If you keep obsessing about negative things your mind will be automatic and conditioned to bring it up more and more and more often without your control just automatically.
We can use that same skill set and that same rule to apply positive thoughts to our own life. We can give positive thinking, positive questions, and positive approaches to life.
4. See challenges as opportunities – Leo Gura
If you want to really cultivate positive thinking within yourself you have to start to take on this idea that there’s something deeper going on in life. And that it’s not quite so simple to figure out exactly what it is.
The core of positive thinking is understanding that every problem every challenge that you have is ultimately an opportunity.
5. Work to see the upside – Alison Ledgerwood
It’s actually mentally harder for people to convert from losses to gains than it is for them to go from gains to losses.
The world has a fundamental tendency to tilt toward the negative. It’s pretty easy to go from good to bad but far harder to shift from bad to good. We literally have to work harder to see the upside of things and this matter.
You have to work to see the upside literally this takes work this takes effort and you can practice this you can train your mind to do this better.
There is research out of UC Davis showing that just writing for a few minutes each day about things that you’re grateful for can dramatically boost your happiness and well-being and even your health.
We can also work in our communities to focus on the upside. We can be more aware that bad tends to stick. One mean comment can stick with somebody all day, all week even and that tends to propagate itself right.
Somebody snaps at you and you snap back and you snap at the next guy too. But what if the next time somebody snapped at you, you forgave them.
Mindset Motivation – Self-improvement
Stop negative self-talk
I think all humans have the habit of self-talk. From my experience, I can say self-talk has a direct reflection on the mindset. Negative self-talk and negative thoughts are my real problem.
When I self-talk “I can’t do this” that will create fear in my mind and hold me back to move forward. Your thoughts will create your reality and your mindset will hold you back from having the life you want.
From reading and watching videos I found that to upgrade your mindset, change your negative self-talk to an empowerment talk. Instead of telling yourself “I can’t do this”, tell “I can do this, I am strong enough to do this.
In one video the speaker suggested smiling looking in the mirror and saying positive words like ‘I am strong, I can do anything etc.’ First I laughed at this advice, but now I practise it daily in the morning. You can also try this simple trick.
Avoid negative phrases
Another mistake from many of us is we use negative phrases like “I am always like this” or “I am always doing this”. Do you often speak like this? If yes, you should avoid negative phrases for encouraging a growth mindset.
We all have problems in life. Most of us are famous for complaining and talking about problems but are not interested to talk about the good things that happened and the gifts from the Almighty.
If you are one of them, make it a habit to talk about the things that are going well in your life instead of complaining and talking about your problems.
Thinking about problems and complaining makes the mind sad. Positive thinking about the gifts and good things happening will make the mind happy.
Have an amazing mindset to continue to grow – Mindset Motivation
Set effective goals that are inspiring and feel like you are doing work and challenging yourself that you are growing. It is hard to have a positive mindset if you are working on something which is boring, not interested and not excited.
Create a positive mindset by pushing yourself in learning new things. You always need to have growth goals that you are working toward to keep you motivated and excited.
Maintain morning habits and routines that set you up for success on the day. Make more good friends and surround yourself with people that make you want to do something bigger.
Find resources and ideas that stretch you to have a more positive mindset. Start every day with something new and greater to boost you out of your comfort zone.
Simple self-improvement tricks will help you to train your mindset for a better life.
