The guy next to me will make you change your mind on the term keyboard warrior because he is the real warrior.

When he was 18 his entire muscle system collapsed and he could no longer move.

And for the next 19 years, he’s been bedridden in his home in Sri Lanka.

But this is not a sad story, it’s inspiring.

Despite having strength only in one finger he taught himself to read and write English.

He wrote and wrote and wrote and when he couldn’t write on a laptop he wrote on an iPhone.

And to publish three full books in English that sold in the thousands one of them took one year to tights.

Doctors gave him until 18 to live but now he’s 37 living on a ventilation machine, fasting during Ramadan and planning his fourth book.

This guy fought to live his life, fought to write his path and fought to make his voice heard only through a keyboard.

A new definition of a keyboard warrior defended tomorrow.

We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us. Joseph Campbell Click To Tweet
